Advocacy
Influencing policy. Strengthening systems. Advancing reproductive health rights.

We use our voice, expertise, and partnerships to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Advocating for equitable access to care.
MSI Uganda advocates for equitable access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning and quality post-abortion care (PAC).
Through policy engagement, health systems strengthening, and evidence-based advocacy, we work to ensure that everyone, especially underserved and vulnerable populations, can access safe, respectful, and high-quality reproductive healthcare.
By collaborating with government institutions, development partners, healthcare providers, and communities, we help create an enabling environment where reproductive health rights are protected and quality services are accessible to all.

We strengthen policies and guidelines.
We support the development, launch, and dissemination of national sexual and reproductive health policies and guidelines that improve access to quality care.

We build healthcare worker capacity.
We train healthcare providers on national standards and best practices to ensure consistent, rights-based, and client-centred service delivery.

We improve service quality.
We work with the Ministry of Health to strengthen quality assurance systems and integrate effective tools and protocols into national healthcare standards.

We foster strategic partnerships.
We collaborate with government, civil society, and development partners to promote evidence-based solutions that improve reproductive health outcomes.

Supporting stronger national systems for quality post-abortion care and reproductive health services across Uganda.

Working together to strengthen reproductive healthcare.
MSI Uganda works closely with the Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders to advance evidence-based policies and improve sexual and reproductive health services nationwide.
Our advocacy efforts have supported the launch and dissemination of the national Post-Abortion Care (PAC) Guidelines and strengthened healthcare worker capacity to implement them effectively.
We have also supported the integration of MSI’s informed consent processes and quality assurance approaches into national standards, helping to improve the quality, consistency, and accountability of PAC services across the country.
OUR GOAL: Every person can access safe, high-quality, rights-based sexual and reproductive healthcare when and where they need it.
