We are the leading provider of reproductive health and family planning services in Uganda.
Marie Stopes Uganda (MSUG) is affiliated with MSI Reproductive Choices and is registered in Uganda as a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Since launching in 1993, MSUG has grown to become one of Uganda’s largest sexual and reproductive healthcare providers, offering a wide range of high-quality, affordable, client-centred services.
Our service delivery channels are adapted to fit the different contexts of each region to maximise opportunities for building sustainable platforms that can provide a lasting impact on the health outcomes of Ugandans.
Marie Stopes Hospital and Maternity.
We have evolved to serve you better. With the new highly specialized hospital, you can now get a full range or maternal, reproductive health and general health services. Visit us at Forest Mall, Lugogo.
Our Centres
Marie Stopes operates a network of 15 Centres across Uganda. These are mostly located in the municipalities and towns, targeting urban populations. Through the centres we deliver a full range of contraceptive methods and reproductive health and general health services. Insurance cards are also accepted.
Mobile outreach
Marie Stopes UG operates 29 mobile outreach teams that work across the entire country to ensure our free services can reach rural, poor and hard-to-reach communities.
Marie Stopes Ladies
Marie Stopes Ladies are mobile midwives, working in the community or visiting clients at home. They help us reach women and young girls with discreet and flexible services.
BlueStar clinics
Our private sector provider (or social franchises), BlueStar, deliver high quality sexual reproductive health services through a network of more than 185 clinics across Uganda.
Public Sector Strengthening
Marie Stopes UG aims to work within and improve public health systems, to ensure they are equipped to provide quality family planning services.
Social marketing
Marie Stopes UG has Uganda’s longest running social marketing program of health products which are marketed and distributed to private providers and pharmacies.
