DR. PETER DDUNGU
COUNTRY DIRECTOR, MARIE STOPES UGANDA


Peter is a results-driven and seasoned public health professional in operational and strategic management and health systems strengthening for reproductive health and HIV services. He has over 25 years of experience as a medical practitioner and 20 years of senior management experience in diverse environments.
He has served as a Chief of Party of Reproductive Health programmes (USAID and UKAID) and as a Deputy Chief of Party of a Comprehensive HIV/AIDS programme (USAID) with Management Sciences for Health. He has also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Nakasero Hospital in Uganda and as the Director of Clinical Services of a large academic hospital in South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB Makerere), MBA (Potchefstroom) and MPH (Witwatersrand).
