Katika Wilaya ya Mpigi, uamuzi wa mwanamume mmoja kufanyiwa upasuaji wa kupunguza mbegu za kiume (vasectomy) haukuleta tu mabadiliko chanya katika maisha yake mwenyewe, bali pia ulizua madoido makubwa katika jamii yake. Ilikuwa wazi kuwa nilipaswa kuchukua hatua kuhakikisha ukubwa wa familia unaoweza kudhibitiwa. Baada ya kufikiria kwa makini, nilifanya uamuzi wa kubadilisha maisha kwa kufanyiwa upasuaji wa kupanga uzazi kwa mwanaume (vasectomy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tangu upasuaji huo, maisha yangu yamebadilika na kuwa bora zaidi. Sijapitia changamoto zozote, na ninaendelea kufurahia uhusiano wenye upendo na mke wangu. Watoto wangu, ambao sasa wana furaha zaidi kuliko wakati mwingine wowote, wameweza kurudi shuleni na kufuata ndoto zao. Imepita miaka ya kupata mtoto karibu kila mwaka. Leo, wote wamekua, na sasa nina bahati ya kushiriki katika malezi na elimu ya wajukuu zangu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nimekuwa mtetezi wa upasuaji wa kiume (vasectomy) na huduma za upangaji uzazi za Marie Stopes. Nikihimiza wanaume wengine kuzingatia njia hii ambayo hubadilisha maisha, nimewaelekeza wateja wengi kutembelea kliniki zinazosafiri na kupata huduma hizo bure. Kwa furaha yangu, hata mmoja wao hajawahi kurudi na malalamiko au changamoto yoyote. Athari imekuwa dhahiri, kwani wanaume wengi zaidi katika jamii yangu wanajihusisha na upangaji uzazi na kuchukua udhibiti wa maisha yao ya baadaye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kwa kutambua kujitolea na shauku yangu, Marie Stopes ilinipatia mafunzo zaidi na kunipa jukumu la Msimamizi wa rika kwa Wilaya ya Mpigi. Kwa uwezo huo, nawaunga mkono timu ya Mawasiliano ya Mabadiliko ya Tabia (SBCC) ndani ya uhamasishaji wa jamii. Ni heshima kubwa kuelimisha na kuwawezesha watu popote niendapo, kueneza ujumbe muhimu kwamba Uzazi wa Mpango ni chachu ya maisha bora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ninaamini kwa dhati kuwa Mipango ya Uzazi ni nguvu ya mageuzi kwa baba, mama, na watoto pia.
