The What + The Challenge.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) addresses the social, cultural and behavioural barriers that prevent individuals and communities from accessing quality health services and making informed health decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Challenges such as teenage pregnancy, harmful social norms, stigma, misinformation, gender inequality, low male involvement and limited access to accurate health information continue to affect adolescents, young people, women, and underserved communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These barriers contribute to poor health-seeking behaviours, low uptake of services, and negative health outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Intervention.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our SBCC approach is guided by a Theory of Change that recognizes that sustainable health outcomes are achieved when individuals, communities, and systems are informed, engaged, and empowered to support positive behaviour change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We work with communities, outreach teams, VHTs, peer educators, health workers, and local leaders to:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

  • Increase awareness and informed decision-making<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Address myths, stigma and harmful social norms<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Strengthen community engagement and participation<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Support outreach mobilization and referrals<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Promote adolescent and youth-friendly health services<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Improve demand and uptake of essential health services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
