The Uganda Reproductive Health Voucher Project (URHVP) was implemented by Marie Stopes UG on behalf of the Ugandan Ministry of Health.
The program is supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) through the Global Partnership on Output Based Aid (GPOBA) and services 25 districts in South Western and Eastern Uganda.
The vouchers currently expire on 30th October 2019. Mothers are encouraged to use their vouchers to receive maternal child health and family planning services before the expiry date. Even without a voucher, all mothers are encouraged to continue visiting a health facility when pregnant to deliver a healthy baby.

The project has had many achievements including strengthening the health system, enhancing transparency and accountability and strengthening referral linkages.
The project has more than exceeded the original project targets and proved to have a significant impact on improving maternal health outcomes in Uganda.
